The Singers Club needs housing for one week--June 5-10, for their Aria Intensive Workshop's vocal coach. He is Esequiel (Zeke) Meza, a well-known concert pianist and vocal coach. He is no stranger to Tucson, having earned his master's and doctoral degrees from UA. He was also coach/accompanist for Arizona Opera's productions of Carmen, Aida, and Romeo et Juliette. His full-time position is opera music director for the University of Texas at El Paso; he is also an artist with the El Paso Conservatory of Music.
All that is needed is a bedroom and bath--you don't have to supply breakfast, though you can if you want. The Singers Club is delighted to have this nationally recognized vocal coach here for their intensive aria workshop.
If you do have a bedroom and bath, please contact Professor Andrew Stuckey at 609 851 8079, or by email at: wastuckey@email.arizona.edu
At the conclusion of the week, the Singers Club will host a special performance event--get recognized there as an "Angel" or be anonymous.
Provide a Workshop Scholarship for a Quest Winner
Tuition for this workshop is $150. One of the singers, Taylor Trolia-Giron, has had an unexpected family expense, and that has put her attendance at the Aria Intensive Workshop in jeopardy. Taylor won a first place at this year's Quest for the Best undergraduate division. If you would like to be her Angel Sponsor, please send a check for $150 to Professor Stuckey, and mark in the memo, "Singers Club: Taylor Trolia-Giron."
Professor Stuckey's address is:
1017 N. Olive Road
Music Building, Rm 225
Tucson, AZ 85721-0004.
We are less than two weeks out from the start of the Workshop, so please give this special opportunity to help a gifted student's career some quick thought. At the special performance the Singers Club is organizing at the close of the workshop, you can be recognized as an "Angel" or be anonymous.
Thank you!
Carol Garrard, President
